Looking at black drain like Yamuna, it never occured to us that we will ever take a dip in it!To our surprise, we never thought of the river beyond Delhi, Agra where the water has become so toxic! The credit goes to Mr Vimlendu, founder of Swechha who not only made us think, but also took us on the journey of Yamuna from Yamunotri to the plains! Since it was monsoon the river was gushing with water from - the seasonal streams, waterfalls, all over the mountains and thus we experienced the river in full bliss when the nature was blooming with greens and water bodies all across. But we were told that it is not the same in winters and summers when there is enough water to meet everyone's need but not everyone's greed. The river almost dies as it enters the plains where all its water is harnessed through multiple giant barrages (add name kd dams ) and canals and there is often an inter state tussle which happens as to what part of Yamuna belongs to whom! Isn't it strange that s
