Last year around the same time we were here,
Rowing, dancing, living, loving, talking, laughing, dreaming 
Living our dreams 
Welcoming uncertainties 
Reflecting on GramyaManthan
Cherishing the beautiful moments of life it gave us 
Adoring the gifts we got... 

These smiles are not mere smiles.. 
They are the soul-reflections of our very being.. 

That was the day 
When all the limits were broken.. 
When the past and the future were both forgotten! 

That was the day 
When the 'true journey' 
The journey from self to society (and not the vice versa) got started.. 

That was the day.. 
Which will 
always be remembered.. 
always be cherished.. 
always be celebrated.. 

That was the day to celebrate life then and now and forever...

पैसा, पैसा, पैसा.. ऐसा प्रतीत होता है जब भी मन के ज़ज्बातों या अपने सपनों भरी दुनिया ( जिसमें हम अपने मन चाहे रंग भरना चाहते हैं) की बात करते हैं, ये पैसा सबको रौंदता हुआ सबसे ऊपर चढ़कर बैठ जाता है। हमारे चाहे जो भी भाव हों, चाहे वो कितने भी कल्याणकारी हों , कितने ही हितकारक हो समस्त प्राणियों के लिए, ऐसा लगता है उससे कोई फर्क ही नहीं प ड़ता यदि हमारे पास आज की तारीख में हाथ में पैसे नहीं हैं! मैं ऐसा नहीं कह रही हूँ कि कोई हमारी भावनाओं की कदर नहीं करता या उन्हें समझता नहीं है, मैं बस यह कह रही हूँ कि ऐसा लगता है बस पैसे ने सब के हाथ बाँधकर रखें है और शायद कुछ हद तक हृदय भी। ऐसा प्रतीत होता है कि मन में ज़ज्बात तो अच्छे हैं पर हृदय के ऊपर एक ताला लगा हुआ है, जिसकी चाबी है रुपया! अब इसमें किसीका कोई दोष नहीं है क्योंकि भले ही कोई कितना अच्छा हो या कितना दानवीर ही क्यों न हो, जीवन यापन के लिए जो भी चाहिए वो तो चाहिए ही! और वो सब संसाधन तो आखिरकार पैसा देकर ही प्राप्त हो सकते हैं। हाँ ऐसा कोई ज़रूरी नहीं है कि पैसा ही सब कुछ हो ही सही मैं मानती हूँ क्योंकि मैं स्वयं ऐसे लोगों से मिली ह...

Yamuna yatra - यमुना का सफर यमनोत्री से दिल्ली तक

Looking at black drain like Yamuna, it never occured to us that we will ever take a dip in it!To our surprise, we never thought of the river beyond Delhi, Agra where the water has become so toxic! The credit goes to Mr Vimlendu, founder of Swechha who not only made us think, but also took us on the journey of Yamuna from Yamunotri to the plains! Since it was monsoon the river was gushing with water from - the seasonal streams, waterfalls, all over the mountains and thus we experienced the river in full bliss when the nature was blooming with greens and water bodies all across. But we were told that it is not the same in winters and summers when there is enough water to meet everyone's need but not everyone's greed. Whenever you look back and think about your life journey, there is one thing to which you are visibly or invisibly immensely grateful, is your ability to trust. There is a lot of reading and discussion about the distrust factor which is growing day by day in the society we live in, or we are planning to be with, but what is crucial is to understand how the factor of trust plays a role in our being-ness.
